Jorge Román, Alfredo Morales, and Dan Madrid Bring Decades of Valuable Experience to DRN Team
Newport Beach, CA — August 25, 2014: Deconstruction & Reuse Network (DRN) is thrilled to announce the addition of three new team members that will expand DRN’s abilities to facilitate responsible deconstruction and the reuse of surplus property throughout not only the state of California, but the rest of the world.
Jorge Antonio Román Martinez has signed on as a new International Representative. He joins DRN after five years as a team coordinator with the nonprofit organization Corazon. There, he was in charge of the planning, logistics, and implementation of both construction and massive volunteer projects. His prior experience enables DRN to understand projects from the recipient’s perspective, helping the organization as a whole better manage the large-quantity donations they are often entrusted to distribute.
Dan Madrid joins DRN as North Bay Area Representative after more than 40 years as in Independent Business Consultant. Though his practice has spanned everything from business plans to turn-key operations, he has extensive experience with general contracting companies and mobile home manufacturers requiring in-depth knowledge in residential construction, codes, and processes. In addition to this expertise, Dan’s specialization in business administration and production brings a unique perspective to the DRN team.
As East and Central Bay Area Representative for DRN, Alfredo Morales is responsible for projectmanagement and deconstruction program outreach throughout greater San Francisco. A graduate of Michoacán University in Morelia, Michoacán Mexico, Alfredo spent several years traveling through Germany, France, and Spain before finally landing in Berkeley, CA. He has been a certified EPA Lead Renovator since 2012, and in 2014 he earned the title of “Certified Green Building Professional” by completing several courses with Built It Green in Oakland, California.
“Each of these new hires bring a valuable skill set and knowledge base to our team,” says Lorenz Schilling, President of DRN and Co-Chairman of the Board. “Thanks to the commitment of our team, our mission is spreading. We are excited to have Jorge, Dan and Alfredo come on board and help us expand our reach into new territories.”
DRN provides deconstruction and reuse solutions for property owners and works with municipalities and building industry professionals to facilitate reuse of donated surplus salvage. Additionally, the DRN team develops community outreach programs and oversees local marketing efforts to expand awareness for the organization and the ReUse industry at large.
DRN facilitates charitable reuse of surplus property and building materials through partnerships with like-minded nonprofits, including Habitat for Humanity affiliates and Baja California community building organization, Corazón.
